Wine and food matching enhances your dining experience. How, you ask?

Many cultures have a long history of pairing local cuisines with local wines. The United States of America is not one of these. We talk about the balance between the weight of the food and the weight (or body) of the wine, the acidity, and we have created some guidelines that I’m sure you are familiar with – such as red wine goes with steak or white wine goes with fish.

The most important thing to remember here is not everyone’s taste is the same so what could be the perfect match for one person is certainly not for another. The pairings and tips I share here are simply recommendations from people who have tried a certain wine/food combo and liked it enough to share it.
